Within the years of 2026-2030 two summer schools will be organized. The summer school events will address how to integrate data and methods from the Hub in research on historical demography. One summer school will focus on changes in family formation systems, the other on international migration with a focus on the emigration from Europe to the USA and Canada. Leading scientists in the field will participate, both researchers and data scientists. Summer schools will combine research and work with record linkage where students get the opportunity to work with different national datasets.
The aim of summer schools is to bring together researchers, teachers and students from the humanities, the educational sciences and data science and thereby contribute to an interest in quantitative research at the undergraduate university level and upper secondary schools.
